The Arctic Cooling Freezer 64 Pro heat sink replaces the Freezer 64 in Arctic Cooling's lineup. It was designed to replace the stock Athlon 64 heat sink and fan, being superior in every way. The Freezer 64 Pro is much quieter than the stock heat sink, measuring in at 0.8 Sone versus the stock cooler's 2.6 Sone (Arctic Cooling is a Swiss company, and they prefer to measure loudness (Sone) instead of sound intensity (dBA)).

This is also a powerful cooler. The Freezer 64 Pro has six heat pipes and 4700 square centimeters of surface area, which allows it to dissipate up to 200 watts of heat. Due to the heatpipe technology, the Freezer 64 Pro also possesses great thermal transfer properties: its thermal resistance is only 0.18*C/W, compared to the stock heatsink's .34*C/W.
