The NoiseTaker II 701AX Power Supply is Enermax’s flagship workstation power supply that is designed to meet and exceed the brutal power demands of high end dual core workstations and SLI gaming rigs.

The 701AX power supply supports two individual 12V rails for your motherboard and drives, one supplying power solely to the motherboard, while the other to the drives. This prevents over reactive drives from disrupting the power to the motherboard and causing instability. Designed for a true power user, the NoiseTaker II is compatible with 20 and 24-pin applications, SLI Dual PCI Express, and all of the latest next generation Dual Core CPUs.

The power supply has an 80mm and a 90mm low RPM cooling fans. Having dual low RPM fans helps keep the temperature low, but is also nearly silent since both fans are running at low speeds. These fans are designed to power down only after the power supply is sufficiently cooled, usually about 2 minutes after the system is powered down.

The Enermax NoiseTaker II is well equipped with both manual and automatic fan controlling options. There are thermal sensors in the power supply to automatically control the fans to keep your power supply at the perfect temperature. There is also a fan speed control knob for the user to manually change the speed of the fans. If you are running some hardcore equipment, you need a hardcore power supply, and the NoiseTaker II 701AX Power Supply from Enermax is the hardest of the core!

• Smart Fan technology was developed by the folks at Enermax to protect your investment. After your system shutdown, the two ball bearing fans continue to run for another 2 mins to cool off your power supply and components. It also has a heat sensor that will allow the fans to run for more then 2 mins if the temp is greater then 40c after the 2 min. This will greatly increase the life your power supply and components
• Independent 12V rails supply MB/CPU and drives in order to provide stable and clean current to noise-sensitive devices, such as: CPU, add-on cards. Meets UL 240VA safety requirements. It also separates the motherboard rails and video card rails to ensure maximum power to your PCI Express video card
• Ultra high efficiency is achieved by using high quality components to maximize power supply output and minimize wasted power. Efficiency is the measure of how much of the 100% power going in to the PSU is being used up and the unused power is dissipated into the air as heat through the heatsink.
